What was life like in the Eifel as a farmer 100 years ago, or as children, aunts, uncles and grandparents all soup out of one big bowl? The Bitburg County Museum depicts the history of the region, reminds us of the people who once lived here and presents us with treasures of the past. An enthralling museum game is available for children. Group tours available in English by appointment only.     The "Türmchen", affectionately known as "Wittlicher HisTörchen", is the last remaining building of Wittlich's town fortifications from 1317. Today the "Türmchen" houses a small museum on the history of the town and its fortifications.
