Explore the diversity of a region on foot
In the Eifel, borders lose their sharpness. Instead of dividing lines, open horizons define the landscape—and as you travel here, the trails lead you through diverse landscapes that connect regions, cultures, and people. You’ll quickly sense that this low mountain range thrives on transition. Between river valleys, ridges, and vast forests, connections emerge that extend far beyond national borders.
Between the Ahr, Moselle, Our, and Rur, a region unfolds where Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg naturally grow together. You hike through quiet valleys, over volcanic hills, and along vibrant river landscapes. Along the way, you encounter impressive nature as well as different languages, traditions, and ways of life.
In the west, the cross-border experience is particularly tangible: here, landscapes merge seamlessly. Meadows give way to forests, villages tell their stories on both sides of the border, and rivers connect what maps once separated. Step by step, you discover neighboring countries and experience the diversity of a shared natural region.
In the Eifel, therefore, “boundless” means more than just crossing a line on a map. It stands for openness, exchange, and the shared experience of a landscape that sees diversity as a strength. When you set out here, you’ll discover not only new perspectives—but also how enriching it is when paths connect.
