The Singphoniker - Oh dear time

Oh dear time - 'It's time!' - under this title, the Singphoniker dedicate themselves to a theme that shapes our lives in all its facets: time. Between finitude and eternity, standstill and transience, the ensemble unfolds a multifaceted musical program. For time can comfort, urge, heal, or fly by - in moments of love just as in the face of parting.

With their distinctive sound culture, the Singphoniker, Johannes Euler (countertenor), Daniel Schreiber & Henning Jensen (tenor), Marlo Honselmann (baritone), Florian Drexel (bass), and Berno Scharpf (piano), connect works from five centuries into a diverse program full of depth, wit, and surprising perspectives. Schubert, Bach, Dowland, and Strauss encounter contemporary composers such as Karol Beffa and Johannes Euler. Legendary songs by Queen, Billy Joel, David Bowie, or the Beatles also find their place, opening new auditory worlds between art song, chanson, pop, and vocal arrangement.

In this way, a concert evening that is as moving as it is entertaining emerges, exploring the slipping away, pausing, and experiencing of time.
