Wittlich, Wine & Hiking: A Culinary Cheese-and-Wine Hike Through the Wittlich Vineyards Date: Saturday, October 16, 2027 Meeting point: 11:00 a.m. at the Wittlich Stadt & Land Tourist Information Office in the “Altes Rathaus” on Marktplatz

The Cheese and Wine Hike follows the 7-km-long “Gradwanderung” loop trail along the Lieser River and through the Wittlich vineyards, offering fascinating views of the town and the Wittlich Valley.
A total of 5 tasting stations line the trail, offering extraordinary culinary experiences.
Cheese sommelier Wolfgang Fusenig and the three Wittlich wineries—Losen-Bockstanz, Lütticken, and Mertes—present exclusively selected cheese-and-wine pairings that guarantee delightful moments of indulgence, particularly highlighting the local cheese culture.
The “Hiking with Delight” experience is rounded out along the way with fascinating insights into the broader regional cheese and wine culture.

Dogs on leashes are permitted, provided participants show due consideration for fellow hikers.
