Program:

• 10.00 am - Welcome by a volcano park guide at the station of the Volcano Express in Brohl/Rhine.
• 10.15 a.m. - Accompanied trip on the Volcano Express from Brohl to Engeln with explanations about the volcanic region
• 11.40 a.m. - Arrival in Engeln and bus transfer to Mendig.
• 12.10 p.m. - "Window into volcanic-geological pasts". Walk along the Wingertsbergwand with information on Laacher See volcanism.
• approx. 1.40 p.m. - Culinary delights follow the volcanic past. Stop for lunch.
• 3.10 pm - Volcanic experience. Gather exciting impressions in the Mendig Lava Dome and then descend into the unique basalt column vault of the Mendig underground mine. Alternative: 3.10 p.m. trip to the Meurin Roman mine incl. Ancient Technology World in Kretz. Here, stone traces tell unique stories. Tour of the Roman mine and the Ancient Technology World.
• 5.30 p.m. - If desired, the day can be rounded off in a convivial atmosphere in a regional restaurant.
