We invite you to explore this wonderful Eifel forest with its many historical sights and stories. Experience at first hand what the Elector of Trier had to do with the robber baron Kuno von Malberg and the Cistercian nuns or how charcoal was made in the Eifel many years ago.
Day 1: Arrival and overnight stay at Gasthaus Zum Holzwurm

Pass through the gateway to the centuries-old Himmerod Abbey and discover a time that seems long forgotten. The thick walls and small monastery farms of the Cistercian Abbey in the Salm Valley give you contemplative moments in the middle of the GesundLand Vulkaneifel.
