The maars of the Vulkaneifel are a 15- to 30-minute drive away and offer the perfect way to cool off on hot summer days.The spacious vacation apartment is located on the ground floor and features a living area with a comfortable sleeper sofa, a flat-screen TV, a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table, and a bedroom with a double bed. The spacious bathroom features a bathtub, toilet, shower, and hair dryer. The property includes a large terrace with a grill and a lawn for sunbathing, as well as a parking space right next to the house. The apartment is well-suited for families with children. The “Hochbermel” Dream Trail begins right outside the front door, and other Dream Trails in the area are within easy reach. Hiking guides detailing additional nearby hiking routes are available at the property.

Quality time together in the Vulkaneifel—with room for the whole group. The Haus der alten Bäume in Hillesheim is rented out exclusively to your family or group as an entire vacation home. With approximately 265 m² of living space, it can accommodate up to 24 guests, including children. Six individually designed bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, combine shared vacation days with private retreats. Warm natural tones, solid wood furniture, and the old trees characterize the house. Here’s how your group is accommodated across the six rooms:• “Mammutkraft,” up to 4 people: King-size bed 200 × 200 cm and sleeper sofa 155 × 200 cm for two people.• Kiefernlicht, up to 4 people: Four-poster bed 160 × 200 cm and king-size bed 200 × 200 cm.• Spruce Serenity, up to 4 people: King-size bed 200 × 200 cm and double bed 150 × 200 cm.• Alder Stream, up to 3 people: double bed 180 × 200 cm and single bed 100 × 200 cm.• Buchenherz, up to 5 people: electrically adjustable double bed consisting of two sleeping surfaces, each 90 × 190 cm, plus a bunk bed. The lower sleeping surface measures 140 × 200 cm and accommodates two people; the upper level sleeps one person on a 90 × 200 cm bed.• Eichenwacht, up to 4 guests: two double beds measuring 140 × 200 cm and 160 × 200 cm. The maximum total occupancy is 24 guests. The room photos show the respective room layout. Six private bathrooms and an additional guest restroom. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a hair dryer. An additional guest restroom is located in the common area. Bed linens and towels can be booked for an additional 20 € per person; in which case the beds will be made upon arrival and the towels will be laid out for you. Cooking, eating, and relaxing together: The fully equipped communal kitchen and the large dining table provide space for shared meals. In the common area with a TV lounge, you can comfortably wind down at the end of the day; a foosball table rounds out the recreational offerings. Wi-Fi and a washing machine are available. Garden and Outdoor TimeThe approximately 4,000 m² natural property features old trees, a tree swing, a sun terrace, an outdoor dining area, as well as a fire pit and barbecue area. The above-ground pool in the garden is available seasonally during the summer. There are at least six parking spaces right next to the house. Discover Hillesheim and the EifelThe “crime novel town” of Hillesheim, the Bolsdorfer Tälchen valley, and the landscape of the Vulkaneifel offer opportunities for walks, hikes, and group excursions. For wellness, the facilities at the nearby Augustiner Hotel can be booked at a discounted rate through our partnership; they are part of the partner hotel and are not included in the room rate.
