Our charming vacation home accommodates up to six people and is nestled in the idyllic landscape of meadows and forests—a place where fox and hare literally say “Good night” to each other. Here, you can unwind, recharge, and enjoy nature to the fullest. A House Full of Comfort and Style The vacation home spans two floors and features three generous double bedrooms. The main bedroom on the ground floor offers an en-suite bathroom and ample privacy. Upstairs, there are two additional rooms with walk-in wardrobes. One of the beds also offers a splendid view of the lush surroundings. The living area, designed in elegant country style, combines classic wood aesthetics with modern metal elements. The open island kitchen is the central meeting point, while the adjoining living area invites you to relax. Wellness and Relaxation The luxurious bathroom on the upper floor is the highlight of the house. It features a freestanding bathtub, two rain showers, a waterfall, a Kneipp hose, and an infrared cabin for soothing warmth on cooler days. Outside, the covered jacuzzi provides relaxation, while the also covered sauna is perfect for clearing your mind and unwinding.

Bollendorf is situated in the heart of the South Eifel Nature Reserve close to the Müller Valley (little Luxembourg Switzerland). The hotel has a beautiful site to the Valley of the Sauer and offers you contemporary ambience with 3 star comfort.The heart of the hotel is the kitchen. Regional specialities prepared freshly and classically will be a surprise for your eyes as swell as for your palate. The guest is spoilt with our specialities such as "Döppekooche", wild boar and Eifel pork. A mixture which is much appreciated.Vegetarian are also offered a variety of dishes suitable to their taste.Finish your day, for example, with good food and drink in the rustic wine cellar.In the evening you can chat at the hotel bar or relax in the modern sauna with a panoramic rest room and a romantic exterior environment. Ulmen and Surroundings The town of Ulmen, featuring the youngest Eifel Maar and the Jungfernweiher, is situated in a beautiful area for cyclists, hikers, and nature lovers. On well-marked hiking trails and clearly designated bike paths, you can unwind from everyday stress with lovely hiking or biking tours. Another highlight is the Ulmener Castle Ruins. From there, you can also enjoy a wonderful view directly over the Ulmener Maar. Not far away, you can reach the romantic center of Ulmen. Here you will find many shopping opportunities, cafes, restaurants, and also an ice cream parlor. Several maars in the nearby area invite you to linger. Here, you can truly let your soul dangle. New Connection Between Two MaarsBetween the Ulmener Maar and the Jungfernweiher, there is a several-hundred-year-old connecting tunnel that has been reopened to the public since April 2023 after many years. Recently, the project "Ulmener Maar Tunnel with the Ulmener Discovery Tour – a digital time journey in the Vulkaneifel" was awarded the Tourism Prize Rheinland-Pfalz 2024 in the category "Project of the Year" at the Tourism Day Rhineland-Palatinate. A cyclist bus from the public transport network can also be used to explore the surroundings. With direct access to the motorway (A48), you can quickly reach many nearby cities with numerous exciting destinations.

Our house is located in the Eifel village of Herhahn, to the west between Schleiden and Gemünd, and borders directly on the Eifel National Park. In the village itself you will find our house near the church and bus stop. Thanks to its direct location to the Rur and Urft lake district, countless excursion destinations are within easy reach: the Rur dam, the town of Monschau, the town of Nideggen, the town of Aachen and the LVR open-air museum in Kommern are perfect for day trips. Walks, long hikes, swimming, strolls through quaint Eifel villages with their half-timbered houses promise variety and relaxation.
