The vacation apartment is located in Kommerscheidt, a district of Nideggen-Schmidt, at the end of a quiet side street directly on the edge of a field and forest. The apartment is detached. It was built from 2017 to 2018 and will be rented out as a vacation apartment for the first time from mid-April 2019.The pond is located nearby, a natural body of water that offers a cool place to linger, especially in midsummer with its surrounding trees.On a clear day, the dining table offers a wonderful view of up to 70 km into the flatter surrounding countryside between Jülich and Cologne.Within the village there are shopping facilities for daily needs. There are 2 bakeries, a supermarket, a post office, a petrol station, a pharmacy, as well as a doctor (general practitioner) and a dentist. If you want to keep your own kitchen cold, 3 restaurants offer the possibility to have a good dinner in the immediate vicinity after an exciting day of hiking or excursions. Two banks (Sparkasse and Volksbank) are located in the village.Minimum stay 2 nights.

As the name Machtemes-Mühle suggests, this was once the location of a mill - more precisely, a Lohmühle, which was first mentioned in a document in the 17th century. Here you can enjoy the almost untouched nature in the footsteps of the Lohgerber in the heart of the Deutsch-Luxemburgischer Naturpark and relax ……. let the soul dandle. Kilometers of natural hiking trails lead you along the Irsen-creek  into the "valley of 1 000 butterflies", into an oasis of well-deserved relaxation for body and soul - here the world is still in order, here nature may still be nature. Not far from the Luxembourg border (6 kilometers), the Naturpark-region invites you to visit its sights - the medieval castle Kasselburg, the zoo "Eifelzoo" and the waterworks in Vianden (L) or the copper mine in Stolzembourg (L) , Children love to have fun in the outdoor swimming pool in Neuerburg or try riding in the nearby riding Stable.
