Wildnis-Trail (Gesamt)
Beschreibung
Enjoy unique views of the Rur-, Ober- and Urftsee reservoirs on the Wilderness Trail. Relax as you hike along the Wilderness Trail through romantic stream valleys and impressive beech forests and enjoy "pure natural idyll".
Rushing streams, fragrant flower meadows, deep forests and wide panoramic views. In four stages between 18 and 25 km in length, the Wilderness Trail takes you right across the Eifel National Park and shows you the diversity and beauty of nature. From Monschau-Höfen in the south to the northern tip near Hürtgenwald-Zerkall. Signposts with the wildcat pictogram guide you through all habitats and landscapes: The daffodil meadows and coniferous forests in the southern national park, the reservoir and river landscapes in the heart of the area, the vast grasslands of the former Vogelsang military training area and the near-natural deciduous forests in the north. You can find out what awaits you along the way and at the respective stage starting points and destinations in the individual stage descriptions.
