The "Traces of the Camomile Traud" theme trail has been expanded to include audio stations where visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the Camomile Traud. The audio contributions can be played in High German and Kolverather Platt.

In 2008, Eifel-born author Ute Bales wrote a novel about a homeless woman who lived with camomile flowers. At the beginning of the last century, she wandered through the villages of the Eifel, selling chamomile at the front doors and otherwise working as a migrant laborer on the farms. "I knew her well, Traud," says Willi Basalt. "Nature and the countryside were all she had. Traud knew her way around plants, caught fish with her hands, looked for mushrooms in the forest and could read the time of day on rock faces. I will take you back to another time and share a very special life with you. It's about survival, faith, hope and humanity.
