Dear forest visitors

The forest has been severely damaged by the dry years 2018 to 2022. In the Königswäldchen, the copper beeches and pines are partially dying.

Especially in windy conditions, branch breaks, crown fractures and falling trees are to be expected. We ask you to take these and other dangers of the forest into account when visiting the forest. Particularly endangered stretches of path are closed for the time being.

Please note that the town of Bitburg is not liable for forest hazards.
