Roetgen was already the "gateway to the Eifel" in Roman times. A Roman road from Aachen-Kornelimünster to Amel led across the area of today's municipality to the long-distance road from Cologne to Reims.
The easy hike leads along village streets and through alleyways, but also takes you along rustic paths.
