Description

Panoramic circular trail starting in the upper Ahr valley in Müsch to the highest mountain in the Ahrgebirge, the majestic Aremberg

The route is currently being planned and is expected to be completed in mid-2025

The AhrSchleife Köhlerweg with its wonderful views leads through almost untouched stream valleys of the Ahr Valley and over the mountain ranges of the Hocheifel. After the first rest stop just above Müsch on the spectacular XXL bench with a view of the village of Müsch, the trail continues through varied forest passages. Always up towards the striking Aremberg, a witness to the region's Tertiary volcanic past.

A short time later, the route heads almost straight downhill again, past lush meadows and vast fields of maize and wheat. Along the way, you are repeatedly impressed by the magnificent views until you return to a winding forest path and leisurely return to the starting point in Müsch.

At the end, you can relax and unwind in the pretty, park-like inclusive garden.

Tip: Plan an enjoyable break and let yourself be spoiled by the gastronomic offerings and farm stores in Müsch, Antweiler and Aremberg.
