Im Stadtgebiet befinden sich mehrere Burgen, die bekannteste ist die Burg Satzvey mit ihren vielen Events (Ritterspiele,Burgweihnacht, Konzerte etc.). Auch Sommerrodel- und Quadbahn, Hochwildschutzpark sowie Schwimm- und Erlebnisbäder befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Nicht weit ist es bis zum Phantasialand Brühl oder Nürburgring. Auch die Städte Köln, Bonn und Aachen sowie das romantische Ahrtal oder die schmucken Städtchen Bad Münstereifel und Monschau sind sehenswert.
