The Ten Stargazes are places where you can observe the impressive night sky. They are easy to reach and perfectly equipped for an astronomical voyage of discovery on your own. Exciting information and suitable installations help to deepen the fascination of stargazing. Each Stargaze has been given its own theme. There, a variety of aspects of astronomy and nocturnal nature as well as local peculiarities are shown.

The Marian column, the Madonna vom Eichelsberg: the memorial with its many thank-you tablets is always a popular place of worship. A procession takes place every year from the parish church to the Marian column on a maison Sunday.

The Maria Hilf Hospital in Daun is a general hospital with the departments of internal medicine (cardiology and gastroenterology), geriatrics and psychosomatics, general, accident and visceral surgery, vascular surgery, anaesthesia and intensive care, orthopaedics and urology. Specialist practices for urology and radiology, as well as an MVZ for orthopaedics, neurology and oncology expand the range of treatments. With 236 beds and around 600 employees, Maria Hilf Hospital is well networked in the region and works closely with other medical and social institutions as well as self-help groups.
