<p>My name is Simone. I live with my husband and our 3 girls (15, 17 and 20 years) in our detached family house with large garden and apartment in the village of Kollig. The apartment is located in a very quiet location on the outskirts of the village, about 200 m from the beautiful forest of Elztal, but only about 3.5 km from the A 48 motorway. The beautiful terrace has a real natural stone wall and invites you to relax with high-quality rattan / wood furniture. Seasonally (limited usability) two exclusive Rattan sun loungers and a large umbrella are available. In August 2022 we converted our separate apartment on the ground floor our house into an attractive, comfortable and high-quality vacation apartment. We look forward to welcoming you personally in our apartment &bdquo;Elztalidyll&ldquo; if possible.</p> <p></p> <p>From the apartment you have a direct access to the most beautiful and award-winning hiking trail in Germany (Pyrmonter Felsensteig, with the Pyrmonter Waterfall, the Pyrmont Castle and the Pyrmonter Mill, chosen in 2015).</p> <p>In the village there is a restaurant (open Tuesday to Sunday) and a farm shop with butcher&rsquo;s shop (open on Thursday &ndash; Saturday), a village shop with bakery is in the neighboring village of Mertloch. Supermarkets can be found within a radius of 6 &ndash; 10 km.</p> <p></p> <p>Our modern apartment is located in the middle of a beautiful hiking and excursion region in the Eifel between Trier and Koblenz, Cologne and Frankfurt and the N&uuml;rburgring. Excursion destinations in the vicinity: - Eltz Castle (one of the most beautiful castles in Europe and a beautiful hiking rail around the castle), - Lake Laach with the impressive monastery Maria Laach, - the UNESCO World Heritage Region Upper Middle Rhine Valley with the Loreley Rock, - the many castles and palaces of the Rhine and Moselle, - the idyllic villages of the Moselle (e.g. Cochem with Cochem Reichsburg), - the Eifel-Maare, - the Deutsche Eck in Koblenz with the cable car to the fortress Ehrenbreitstein, - the idyllic half-timbered village of Monreal, -the volcano park Mendig, Mayen, Plaidt with different volcano park stations, - the world&rsquo;s tallest cold water geyser in Andernach, - one of the longest suspension rope bridges in Germany in the Hunsr&uuml;ck, - the many beautiful and award-winning hiking trails and via ferrata. Embedded in the forest and mountain landscape of the Eifel, you can experience the animals up close all year round! From small inhabitants, such as cute coatis, to "wild" big cats, to the big stag, visitors can observe animals at eye level. Around 60 animal species in the northern hemisphere and Australia, i.e. a total of approx. 400 animals, live on 30 hectares in the Eifel Zoo.

In the idyllic Burgdorf Reifferscheid in the heart of the North Eifel we offer our new modern 60 square meter apartment for up to 4 people. The self-contained apartment on the first floor consists of a large, bright living-dining room with an open, fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom, a spacious bathroom and a south-facing terrace. The spacious, open kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, toaster and coffee machine. The sitting area in the living room is furnished with a cozy wing chair and a sofa that can be converted into a full-size bed for two adults. There is WiFi, satellite TV and Bluetooth radio. Two steps lead to the separate bedroom with double bed (2m x 2m) and large closet. The modern bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, towel dryer and hairdryer. Storage space for bicycles in a locked hall (with electricity) and a car parking space are available free of charge. A small public children's playground is located on the opposite side of the street. Our region is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Numerous marked hiking trails (including "EifelSchleifen" and "EifelSpuren"), the connection to the premium hiking trail "Eifelsteig", designated (mountain) bike trails (e.g. Eifel-Rad-Schleifen) and the "Vennbahn-Radweg" (between Aachen and St. Vith in Belgium) offer ideal opportunities for hiking and cycling.The popular themed trails "Sonnenglück" and "Auf den Spuren der Raubritter" lead directly past the house. In winter, snow enthusiasts will also get their money's worth at the Weißer Stein (Hellenthal-Udenbreth).

The Catholic Chapel of St. Bartholomew in the main street of Reudelsterz, built in 1758, is a baroque hall building. With its impressive altar and beautiful figures of the three Saints Bartholomew, Anthony and Nicholas, it is particularly worth seeing. The hall was extended in 1764 and 1836.

The mining of volcanic material on the Dachsbusch ate deeper and deeper into the old cinder cone. It gives us an insight into the volcanic and climatic history. The volcanic layers show how they slipped during a cold period about 150,000 years ago due to the alternation of thawing and freezing. The badger bush does not need to fear further depletion, as the area is now a nature reserve. Follow the signposted path to the right up to the gliding fold, where you will find more information.

<p>Built in 1683 by Thurn und Taxis, the Posthalterhof has been renovated with great attention to detail and offers an exceptional ambience within old walls. Antique furniture and modern furnishings in the bedrooms, the newly renovated bathrooms and fully equipped, open kitchens are stylishly combined. In addition, wifi, flat-screen TVs with Netflix &amp; Prime and Alexa are available in the dining or living rooms.</p> <p>In addition to the ground floor (monument), which can be rented for up to 8 people, the top floor (castle maisonette) offers space for up to 6 people. On the first floor is the Ahrquelle apartment, which is ideal for 2 people. The Georgstor apartment on the first floor is designed for up to 3 people. Dogs are welcome.</p> <p>Guests on the ground floor have their own terrace with a large table and barbecue. Guests on the top floor have access to the garden on the first floor with a terrace and a large table with barbecue. Guests staying in the Ahrquelle&nbsp;apartment can also use the terrace in the garden. The wonderful view of Blankenheim Castle is included.</p><p>In December 2021 we opened our new sauna area for all guests of the Posthalterhof. In our large garden there is a 500-year-old vaulted cellar embedded in the rock. Here our guests can relax in the sauna and whirlpool in an extraordinary atmosphere - for up to 6 people. And in the sheltered outdoor area in the covered lounge corner, listen to music with a warming flame and enjoy the magnificent view of Blankenheim Castle.</p> <p>2 private parking spaces are located directly next to the Posthalterhof for guests. There are 3 more private parking spaces above the garden area. Bicycles and motorbikes can also be safely parked.</p> <p>Other important notes:<br>There are a few stairs within the ground floor. The flat Ahrquelle is on the first floor and can be reached via the stairs in the house or those from the courtyard. The Burg Maisonette flat is on the 2nd floor. Due to its character and construction, our house is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.</p> <p>Directly opposite you can get fresh rolls and bread as well as cakes at the bakery. The butcher's shop Engel with Eifel quality is about 200m away and offers meat and sausages from farms of the Eifel in own production. Pharmacy, 2 banks, flower shop and book shop are also located in the village next to Patina Antiques. Supermarket, discounter and drugstore can be reached in 2 minutes by car. Excellent food is available in the local brasserie, which is 1 minute's walk from the Posthalterhof.</p> <p>The Nürburgring is 30.5 km away. The City Outlet Centre and historic Bad Münstereifel is about 20 km away, as is the picturesque Burgdorf Kronenburg. Lake Kronenburg is also worth the 20-minute drive. Lake Freilingen, which is suitable for swimming, is only 15 minutes away by car. The Cologne trade fair is 75 km away, but the journey time is less than 1 hour due to the good transport connections.</p>
