The Gerberhaus is part of an old farmstead in the area of the castle town of Manderscheid. Quiet and yet centrally located, you will stay here on the spacious property with inner courtyard and garden.Families will appreciate the large property and the many play possibilities, hiking or mountain bike groups the central location in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel. The special layout allows for flexible use of the Gerberhaus:You can choose between a double room with its own shower and toilet, a holiday flat for 5 people or the entire house - just as you need it! Yard & Garden:The Gerberhaus is part of the large property - with old farmhouse, barn with straw boarding house, 2 separate courtyards, large meadow, vegetable garden and garden house. Cyclists and mountain bikers can safely store their bikes and also wash them after a "wild tour".Families with children especially enjoy the garden and courtyard with play facilities (trampoline, slide, table tennis table), and the large courtyard area for playing and romping. The garden is not available to overnight guests of the Strohlager. The animals of the Gerberhaus:There are always animals to pet on the property, such as rabbits or poultry.Just outside Manderscheid there is another farm building where the flock of sheep and our two Icelandic horses live, who are happy to be stroked.Direct location on the Eifelsteig and Lieserpfad. The house is located at the outskirts of Deudesfeld near by the forest. The spacious non-smoking apartment is 75 square meters large. The apartment is placed at the ground floor and has its own main entrance. There is enough parking place. Right next to the entrance you will find a large consealed terrace with garden furniture, parasol and barbecue.
The vacation apartment was completed in 2015. It is located on the first floor of a listed farmhouse. It is divided into the following rooms: hallway with wardrobe and full-length mirror, living room with spacious fold-out sofa, modern, technically well-equipped kitchen, bedroom with box-spring bed and recliner for reading and relaxing, and bathroom with comfortable shower, WC and bidet. The living room and kitchen are cleverly connected by exposed half-timbered beams. There is a parking space in the courtyard as well as former farm buildings that provide secure storage for bicycles or motorcycles. The terrace and garden with barbecue are available for exclusive use. Special features: Bakery and butcher's shop are only 2-3 minutes' walk away. There is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity. The farmstead with farm buildings is ideal for bikers and cyclists. The town of Mendig is 4 km away, Mayen 8 km. Vacation destination Eifel Bell is located at 370 m above sea level in the immediate vicinity of Maria Laach Abbey with Lake Laach. The abbey and lake are easily accessible via hiking trails. A variety of hiking trails (dream trails) also cross the Bell district. Castles (e.g. Genoveva Castle, Bürresheim Castle, Eltz Castle) and the Nürburgring are popular excursion destinations. Cyclists and bikers are discovering the Rhine-Moselle-Ahr region with increasing popularity. The apartment is logistically ideally located for this.

The flat Tankstopp offers two bedrooms, the flat Boxenstopp has three bedrooms, each with double beds, where there is also room for a cot. The kitchen is completely furnished and equipped with dishwasher and coffee machine. Both living rooms have a sofa bed, flat screen TV and video system, as well as free WLAN access. The holiday flat Tankstopp also has a rustic wood stove for that well-deserved feel-good atmosphere. The bathroom, outside of the flat, is equipped with a large bathtub, separate shower, washing room with washing machine and drying area is right next door. A large sun terrace with a glass roof and a free seat offers a nice place to relax.
