Kilometers of walking- and hiking paths start directly next to the house. Also you will find bike paths and by train you can go to Euskirchen, Cologne, Bonn, Aachen or Trier.

"Tree of life" an approx. 35 m high, evergreen thuja (thuja plicata / giant tree of life) has been growing in Bad Bertricher Alleegarten in front of the Electoral Palace.
