Skulpturenpark Ulrich Rückriem

Zülpich

Open today

Near the Langendorf Castle near Zülpich, the legendary battle between the Alemanni and Franks is said to have taken place in the year 496. To make this significant historical event visible, the 8-meter-high "Chlodwig Stele" was created by the renowned sculptor Ulrich Rückriem.

Since 1999, the stele has been situated in the landscape around Zülpich-Langendorf. Over the years, additional large sculptures by the artist have been added. Today, you can discover a total of seven works by Ulrich Rückriem along a route of about three kilometers.

The publicly accessible Rückriem Sculpture Park combines impressive art with the history and landscape surrounding Langendorf Castle. All artworks were incorporated into the Manfred Vetter Foundation in 2007.
