There is a special church in the small community of Eschfeld in the border triangle of Germany, Belgium and Luxenburg. In the years 1906 - 1921, Pastor Christoph März painted an open Bible on the walls and vaults. Interested visitors can admire the work.
"Tree of life" an approx. 35 m high, evergreen thuja (thuja plicata / giant tree of life) has been growing in Bad Bertricher Alleegarten in front of the Electoral Palace. The extraordinary tree is well preserved, protected as a natural monument and has already been mentioned in Clara Viebig's novels.
The Rochus Chapel is on the L10 in the direction of Langenfeld, approx. 1 km outside the village of Kirchwald. The beautifully designed outdoor area with benches invites visitors and hikers to linger with a fantastic view. As the name suggests, the Rochus Chapel in Kirchwald is consecrated to Saint Roch and the Holy Mother of God.
The Eppelsberg offers a unique window into the volcanic history of the Eastern Eifel as well as deep insights into the structure of a cinder block gel volcano.
