Around Kordel you will find a variety of wild-romantic rock formations and caves. Visit, for example, the Klausenhöhle, the Genovevahöhle or the Butzerbach Valley.
The chapel in the center of the community of Ditscheid is dedicated to St. Apollonia - the patron saint of dental patients. The first saint's house was built on this site in 1663, a small chapel followed in 1756, and today's chapel was built in 1849. Various renovation measures took place in the years 1991 to 2007/08.
In September 2007 the Heimatverein Oberzissen set up a museum in the premises of the old school.Local history comes alive with many historical exhibits, but also finds from the near past.
Visit the Klausenhöhle ( cave) on the Premium hiking trail ``Römerpfad`` and let the past come back to life. According to legends, a hermit lived in the cave in the 18th century.
