The statue of Our Lady with a wreath of lights, made of Bollendorf sandstone, stands on a five-metre column high above the village.

Nikolaus Colle had the Marian column erected in 1959 in fulfillment of a vow: While a prisoner of war in Russia, he had vowed to erect a monument to the Madonna if he saw Bollendorf safe and sound again.
