Marienkapelle

Marienkapelle near Hölzchen (Arzfeld). Built in 1957 from local quarry stone masonry on a hill with a very beautiful distant view.


The chapel was built by Peter and Luzia Strunk from Arzfeld. Pastor Frömbgen inaugurated the chapel on June 2, 1957. The chapel is now owned by the Catholic parish of St. Maria Magdalena, Arzfeld.

Over the years, the chapel has become known as a meeting point for devotees of Mary through the Marien devotions and light processions in the parish of Arzfeld and in the neighboring parishes.
