Special attractions of the municipality of Langenfeld with about 670 inhabitants are the late Gothic pilgrimage chapel St. Jost, which was built around 1400, as well as the 3-tunnel visitor mine "Grube Bendisberg", which offers fantastic insights deep into the interior of the earth and brings old mining traditions to life.
Boos was first mentioned in 1238. Today, the village with 610 inhabitants enjoys an excellent reputation as a popular hiking destination. Special highlights are the nature reserve "Booser Doppelmaar", which as a "Vulkanparkstation" is home to a unique flora and fauna and the "Booser Eifelturm" (currently locked), which offers fantastic views since 2003.
