The train station is on the express line linking Cologne and Aachen, with further connections to Jülich, Heimbach and Euskirchen. In addition to the various regional (express) trains, the “S-Bahn” suburban train service heading towards Cologne also stops in Düren.

Currently, there are 10 bus lines that depart from or arrive at the Wittlich ZOB stop.

In a cozy atmosphere, at "Tempo 20", passengers can enjoy the diverse charms of the volcanically shaped Brohl Valley on the 18 km long Brohl Valley Railway between Brohl-Lützing am Rhein and Kempenich-Engeln. During a 90-minute drive, the volcano express, the narrow-gauge railway, winds through the sometimes very narrow valley over elegant stone bridges near Bad Tönisstein and Oberzissen as well as through an almost 100m long tunnel at Burgbrohl on the plateau of the volcanic Eastern Eifel.

The hiking and cycling region Nordeifel offers many opportunities for vacation, which can also be reached directly from the numerous train stations.
