Historical marketplace of AdenauIn addition to examples of old timbered houses, this is also where you will find Adenau’s oldest house dating from the year 1630.


There is also the commandery, the Catholic parish church St. Johannes d. T. and some good shopping to be found on the historic market square with its idyllic fountain, inviting you to spend time and relax.

  • <p>You look into a bright room filled with old railway items. In the center are two mannequins in railway uniforms. Old signs with train numbers hang on the walls. A railway signal serves as a railing at the stairs. In several display cases, documents and tools are exhibited.</p>

    Eisenbahnmuseum - Jünkerath

    The Jünkerath Railway Museum documents over 150 years of railroad history in the Eifel and Moselle region. Moselle region is documented. In the exhibition, visitors will find numerous interesting objects from the everyday life of railroad workers. More detailed information about the museum and the objects on display can be found on the Internet at www.eisenbahnmuseum-juenkerath.de. Opening times: April to the end of September, Saturdays from 2 - 4 pm. For larger groups special opening times are also possible by appointment. Admission is free of charge, a donation is requested.
