The beautifully designed rest area on the Kyll cycle path near Stadtkyll invites every cyclist to linger. You can relax either on one of the ergonomic benches or on the various other seats. If it rains, there is the option of sheltering in an old railway carriage. There are also tables and benches in the wagon. The little house with its ecological compost toilet can be used by all visitors. The centre of Stadtkyll and the local gastronomy can be visited in just a few minutes.
The campsite is located in the middle of the unique volcanic area of the Vordereifel, very close to Lake Laacher and the Benedictine Abbey of Maria Laach.
The community of Weiler is idyllically located between the town of Mayen and the Nürburgring. The hamlet flows on the outskirts and the Karbach on the eastern boundary. The Niederelz district further south is affected by Wiesbach and Elz. Together the two places have about 480 inhabitants.
