Das Holz und das Dorf Zweifall – Baustoff mit Tradition
Stolberg
Wood has always played a special role in Zweifall - it has shaped the town, its crafts and people's lives to this day. The hike around Zweifall shows that wood has always been more than just a material here. For generations, many families lived directly or indirectly from the timber industry.
With technical progress, its use changed: manual work became industrial production, small workshops became businesses. But the importance of the material remained - and is still visible in old half-timbered houses, doors, roofs and furniture that carry on the history of the village.
Today, wood once again stands for durability, regional cycles and a conscious approach to nature and resources. In Zweifall, it is still part of the identity - a material that combines landscape, craftsmanship and community.
