Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Stolberg and discover the pre-industrial and early industrial development of Stolberg in the Torburg.

The augmented reality app takes you on an exciting journey back in time to the Middle Ages together with the former castle owner Moritz Kraus. There are exciting adventures in the outer bailey for young explorers. You can pick up your personal logbook at the information center.

A tour takes you through rooms full of history - from the history of the building to life at the BURG. Information boards and interactive media stations invite you to marvel and discover.

Barrier-free areas
From Faches-Thumesnil-Platz, you can easily reach the Upper Courtyard, the foyer, the restaurant, the Knights' Hall and the gallery by elevator. Please note that the construction of a medieval castle means that the signposted tours in the outdoor and indoor areas are unfortunately not completely barrier-free.

Gastronomic offer
During opening hours, there is a wide range of food and drink on offer in the upper castle courtyard at BURG FOOD.

Information on the app and audio guides for Torburg Castle
The entire BURG can be explored independently. Information material and audio guides for the museum in the Torburg are available from the BURG information center in the Lower Castle Courtyard.

    LVR-Freilichtmuseum Kommern

    History comes alive at the LVR open-air museum in Kommern: Chickens run around between the houses and peck at the ground, cattle graze peacefully in the pasture and fresh bread smells waft from the bakery. Visitors can wander through five different assemblies and their buildings. The journey through time in the Rhineland begins at the end of the 15th century and ends with the 20th century. Exhibitions and various festivals and markets, such as the Anno Dazumal fair, round off the museum experience.
