Vianden Castle was built between the 11th and 14th centuries on the foundations of a Roman fort and a Carolingian refuge. Influenced by the Hohenstaufen family, the castle palace is one of the largest and most beautiful feudal residences of the Romanesque and Gothic periods in Europe.

With a diameter of 100 metres, the Radio Telescope Effelsberg is one of the largest fully mobile radio telescopes on earth. Since its commissioning in 1972, the company has continuously worked on improving its technology (e. g. B. a new surface of the antenna dish, better receivers for high-quality data, extremely lownoise electronics) so that even today it is still considered one of the most modern telescopes in the world.
This considerable tomb from Roman times was excavated in the years 1972/73 and then restored. Both reliefs with mythological scenes as well as pictures from the everyday life of the builder's family are shown.
Hohenzollern Tower Enjoy the beautiful view of Bad Bertrich and the surrounding hills. Accessible via the local circular walk "Kurschattensteig" et "Wasserfall Erlebnisroute".
The Greverath village smithy, a pretty little house in the middle of the village, was set up as a museum in 2014 and bought and lovingly renovated by the municipality of Niersbach. Today, the "Hedelischgippscha Greverath" association takes care of the facility.
