24 million glittering mosaic stones inspire thousands of church visitors every year. To protect the valuable mosaics, the church can only be visited in conjunction with a guided tour.

From the "Krawutschketurm", named after the Eifel hiker Franz Krawutschke, there is a breathtaking view over the mountain ranges of the Eifel and from the edge of the parking lot, the view sweeps over the widening valley of the Rur with the Obermaubach reservoir over the edge of the Eifel into the Jülich Börde and the Cologne Bay.

The romantic and bizarre site in the Gutenbach valley with its water basin and fountain, circular paths, steps, footbridges and terraces was built in the 19th century. A "Lauschkurbel" ("audio crank") provides information about the history and special features of the Felsenweiher.

The sky in the Brohl valley darkened when the Laacher See volcano erupted just five kilometers away. The once loose materials from the glowing avalanche have caked over time to form a rock that is called “trass” in our region.

The view from the lookout tower “Landesblick” is impressive: The Maar lake glistens around 200 metres below, gently embedded in the largest Maar funnel in the Eifel. However, only part of the 1,700 metres long basin is covered with water.
