Lieserpfad
Hiking from the source to the estuary - 4 stages - 74 km
On the four stages of the Lieserpfad, the small Lieser stream becomes a river. Far away from everyday life and street noise, you can enjoy the stimulating power of nature and clear your head on your hike through the Eifel.
Accompany the Lieser on its way from its swampy source near Boxberg to where it flows into the Moselle near the village of Lieser.
The waters of the Lieser have powerfully carved their way through the volcanic landscape. The hiking trail runs parallel to the river and offers a varied hiking route. It takes you along narrow paths and wide trails, over bridges, up and down. Maars, castles and mills line the edge of the trail. A wonderful environment to consciously travel slowly and feel the original power of the earth. Again and again, benches in peaceful places offer the opportunity to rest your tired feet for a while and eat some of the provisions you have brought with you. You can clearly feel the closeness to nature here, as there are only a few roads through the Liesertal. When you reach the Moselle, you can proudly look back on a total distance of 74 kilometers. And perhaps you will agree with Manuel Andrack, who named the Lieserpfad the "most beautiful hiking trail in the world" in one of his books, with a smile on your face.
