Every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of the month | The national park rangers offer guided hikes several times a week - free of charge and without registration. There is a suitable tour for every visitor! The start times and meeting points for the tours are always the same - making it easier for you to plan.

As it does every year, the Kulturelle Förderkreis Ettringen e.V. has arranged for the Koblenz Puppet Theater to perform for you and your children, grandchildren...On November 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., the play “Der Räuber Hotzenplotz” will be performed at the community center in Ettringen.

Equipped with their own flashlights or lanterns, the age-appropriate guided tour for children and their chaperones begins at the parking lot and leads into the mysterious mine where the Romans once quarried tuff. Mysterious passageways and tuff columns await exploration before the group heads out into the world of ancient technology. Roman workshops and tools await the curious explorers and appear in the darkness as if they had just been abandoned by the Romans. The evening wraps up with mulled wine or children’s punch and Christmas cookies.
