There are no ascents on the way to the Vennbahnradweg and back to the holiday apartment. lt can be accessed very close by via the Ruruferradweg from Menzerath in the Monschau Grünental valley.

This lovely flat boasts plenty of space and light and natural materials such as wood and stone make the foundation for our guests' relaxation. The high ceilings offer room to breathe, and give this exceptional accommodation a castle flair. Huge windows provide wonderful brightness and the feeling of being part of the natural spectacle taking place outside. A small terrace with its own garden and a view of the large orchard invite you to observe, relax and enjoy. Active holiday guests will also get their money's worth: Just a step out the door and through the red garden gate - kilometres of hiking and cycling trails await to be discovered.   If desired, we are happy to extend an invitation to visit the castle courtyard and park opposite the holiday home. Please get in touch.   LOCATION:   The holiday flat "L' Extravagante im Garten von Schloss Schmidtheim" is located on the ground floor of the villa - in the middle of the Eifel and is surrounded by pure nature. It is only a stone’s throw away from Schmidtheim Castle and is found directly across from the Castle Gardens. Upon arriving, we recommend that our guests take a leisurely discovery walk. About 300 metres from the holiday home is a forest path that leads to a picturesque pond. You should plan about one hour for the way there and back.   For the following days of your stay, you can choose between a diverse range of excursions and hikes offered by Nord Eifel Tourismus. You will find a brochure in the holiday flat. You are also welcome to ask us for tips and excursion destinations at any time. Our family has lived at Schmidtheim Castle for more than 500 years. Our cozy vacation apartment is located in the beautiful Brohl valley in the Eifel. The apartment is in a quiet yet convenient location (approx. 2 minutes to the A 61). The living room, the kitchen, the bathroom and 1 bedroom are accessible at ground level. The second bedroom is on the 1st floor (attic). The apartment has an open plan living area with a modern equipped kitchen with adjoining dining area and the living room with satellite TV. There is a separate bedroom with a 180x200cm box-spring bed and a spacious bathroom with shower and WC. The couch in the living room can be used as an additional bed for one person. A second bedroom with a double bed is located in the attic. From the living room and the balcony you have a wonderful view of Olbrück Castle and the surrounding countryside. Baby crib and baby chair are available. The following is included: bed linen, towels, coffee, tea, hand soap, hairdryer.
