As the name Machtemes-Mühle suggests, this was once the location of a mill - more precisely, a Lohmühle, which was first mentioned in a document in the 17th century. Here you can enjoy the almost untouched nature in the footsteps of the Lohgerber in the heart of the Deutsch-Luxemburgischer Naturpark and relax ……. let the soul dandle. Kilometers of natural hiking trails lead you along the Irsen-creek  into the "valley of 1 000 butterflies", into an oasis of well-deserved relaxation for body and soul - here the world is still in order, here nature may still be nature. Not far from the Luxembourg border (6 kilometers), the Naturpark-region invites you to visit its sights - the medieval castle Kasselburg, the zoo "Eifelzoo" and the waterworks in Vianden (L) or the copper mine in Stolzembourg (L) , Children love to have fun in the outdoor swimming pool in Neuerburg or try riding in the nearby riding Stable. Hotel-Restaurant Hollerather Hof is located at approximately 600 meters above sea level in the small town of Hollerath in the municipality Hellenthal. The hotel is situated between the Eifel National Park and the German-Belgian Nature Park Hohes Venn. You can access the woods directly from the hotel backyard. The unique landscape has a great variety. Rivers, streams, lakes and reservoirs, the colorful variety of plants and open and forested mountains and valleys.Every year thousands of tourists visit the Eifel region to enjoy nature. The area is very popular, especially with walkers and cyclists, but also with motorcyclists. Besides the natural beauty this last category of visitors especially enjoys the many hairpin bends in the area.In winter the hotel is also worth a visit. At 100 meters from the hotel you'll find a cross country trail that leads you through the forest. Besides cross-country you can also go skiing and tobogganing. Across the valley, at about 150 meters from the hotel, lies a special toboggan lift and toboggan run.A little further on in Udenbreth (approx. 2 km) is a larger ski area called Skiarena Weisser Stein. This ski area has 10 km of cross country trails and both a ski lift for skiers and a toboggan lift.Hotel Restaurant Hollerather Hof is the perfect location for your holiday or weekend away. Description HausAcht incl. KleinHausAcht (both units) The HausAcht (cosy guesthouse from the 60s) has been serving as a modern conference and leisure centre for almost 20 years. In 2016, the KleinHausAcht was added as a barrier-free extension. As a group house, up to 35 guests can use the house in various ways. Under the slogan "A whole house to live in", the house is available for children and youth groups, " large families " and working groups, hiking groups, motorcycle groups and company trips. The HausAcht is only rented to one group at a time, who can use all rooms on their own. The large kitchen (optionally for self-sufficiency) 4 lounges (incl. rustic taproom) offer plenty of room for creativity. 11 bedrooms (almost all with shower and WC) for 31 guests offer a pleasant privacy. The group house can accommodate up to 31 people. As from 32 persons, the KleinHausAcht (extension) is automatically rented. On request, a smaller group can also be divided into a group house and a KleinHausAcht (extension). You can discuss this with your host. The low barrier KleinHausAcht can be rented integratively. This extension on the level of the HausAcht recreation rooms offers 2 additional bedrooms for 4 guests, an entrance hall with kitchenette and a large bathroom with barrier-free equipment. Up to 3 wheelchair users can get along here.
