At 200m², our large 12-person holiday home lies directly on the shore of the lake. In 2023 it was once again awarded a DTV certification of 4 stars. The entire house is brightly and nicely furnished. It features 6 double bedrooms, 3 shower rooms with toilet + 1 separate toilet, a living room with 3 leather sofas and fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen with e.g. XXL refrigerator, separate fridge-freezer, dishwasher and a very large dining table. There is a garage for parking bicycles, motorbikes or boats and plenty of parking spaces directly by the house. The offer is rounded off by a pier with separate entry to the lake. Here, you can find a beautiful pedal boat with room for 5 people, which can be used by all of our guests free of charge. Canoes and kayaks can be rented on location and moored at our pier, guaranteeing you quick access to them in the lake at any time. In addition, we offer 3 holiday apartments for 2-3 people and 1 holiday apartment for 1-2 people in the same gorgeous location.

Welcome to the "Eifelrose" holiday homeQuietly situated in a small suburb, the newly renovated holiday flat on 70 sqm offers everything 2-4 people need for a nice holiday.In Ulmen, 3km away, you will find everything for your daily needs, such as bakers, butchers and supermarkets. There are also restaurants, snack bars and an ice cream parlour in the village.In addition to the castle ruins, you can see and explore not only the youngest maar in Central Europe (Ulmener Maar) but also the oldest maar in Germany (Jungferweiher). Since April 2023, it has also been possible to walk through the Ulmen maar tunnel, the connection between the two maars that was built in the Middle Ages. The multi-award-winning "Wilde Endert" hiking trail also starts here and takes you all the way to Cochem.There is also a lot to explore in the surrounding area, e.g. the Daun maars, Manderscheid with its castles and the castle climbing trail, newly opened in 2023, Cochem with the imposing Reichsburg castle and the Nürburgring is only 20km away.Whether hiking, cycling (there are special cycle buses here) or simply relaxing, there is something for everyone in the Vulkaneifel.We, Michael and Daniela, are looking forward to welcoming you in our house.Best wishes from the Eifel

Feel the Freedom!   The newly furnished holiday flat "L' Extravagante im Garten von Schloss Schmidtheim" offers wonderful peace and quiet in a special house: a historic villa from the 19th century. This lovely flat boasts plenty of space and light and natural materials such as wood and stone make the foundation for our guests' relaxation. The high ceilings offer room to breathe, and give this exceptional accommodation a castle flair. Huge windows provide wonderful brightness and the feeling of being part of the natural spectacle taking place outside. A small terrace with its own garden and a view of the large orchard invite you to observe, relax and enjoy. Active holiday guests will also get their money's worth: Just a step out the door and through the red garden gate - kilometres of hiking and cycling trails await to be discovered.   If desired, we are happy to extend an invitation to visit the castle courtyard and park opposite the holiday home. Please get in touch.   LOCATION:   The holiday flat "L' Extravagante im Garten von Schloss Schmidtheim" is located on the ground floor of the villa - in the middle of the Eifel and is surrounded by pure nature. It is only a stone’s throw away from Schmidtheim Castle and is found directly across from the Castle Gardens. Upon arriving, we recommend that our guests take a leisurely discovery walk. About 300 metres from the holiday home is a forest path that leads to a picturesque pond. You should plan about one hour for the way there and back.   For the following days of your stay, you can choose between a diverse range of excursions and hikes offered by Nord Eifel Tourismus. You will find a brochure in the holiday flat. You are also welcome to ask us for tips and excursion destinations at any time. Our family has lived at Schmidtheim Castle for more than 500 years.
