Brigitte and Bernhard Heinen rent out vacation apartments in Kreuzau-Obermaubach for your vacation in the Eifel. Obermaubach is located near Nideggen in the northern Eifel. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, and you can go fishing and boating at the lake. The wooded hills with a well-signposted network of hiking trails offer great views. Mountain bikers and paragliders also get their money's worth. There is a tennis court in Obermaubach. You can hike the educational wine trail or climb the path to the forest chapel, watch the fish ladder or use the exciting Rurufer cycle path. The apartments are suitable for 4 or 5 people. The vacation apartment is just a few minutes' walk from the historic old town of Nideggen with its magnificent church and castle. From there you have a fantastic view over the Rur valley and deep into the Eifel. Not far away is the second largest reservoir in Germany, the Rursee. This invites you to linger both in summer and in winter. Numerous well-marked hiking and cycling routes lead through the first national park in NRW. We have made every effort to offer you a beautiful vacation apartment with the best possible facilities.

The old school was built from 1945-1955 as the first postwar school for Schleiden because the city centerwas still in ruins and an easy to build land was found 2 km away in Oberhausen.This results in the ingenious location, separated from the village by a river, secluded location right on the edge of the forest and ideal forActivities in nature. Jogging, hiking or cycling, everything right outside the door.Children's playground on the other side of the river. Despite the quiet location are foot-side shoppingwithin 5 minutes possible. (Aldi, Lidl, Rewe with bakery shops) To downtown Schleiden about 10 minutes.My title "Loft in the old school" was created by the classroom which partly still with the interiorwere taken over. This also created floor plans and ceiling heights of the usual standard divisionsdeviate. The large window openings in east / south direction were not common in this time in the Eifel but from theArchitects demanded and realized in the sign of the modern age.

You can expect a ca. 45m²  newly furnished non-smoking apartment in a quit location near the forest. Everything barrier-free, own parking space directly in front of the aparetement and storage space for bicycles and motorbikes.   A spacious eat-in kitchen that offers enough space for 2 people (sofa bed possibly for achild).The kitchen is equipped with: oven, Ceramic hob, Fridge freezer, coffee maker, water and egg cooker, microwave, toaster, waffle maker, cutlery and porcellain. Living area: TV+ Netflix usage possible, Radio, comfortable couch.                       The bathroom with a rain shower, toilet, sink and hairdryer.   Washing machine can be used by arrangement. Intermediate cleaning of the apartment possible for 30.-€                                                                                                    Terrace with a quit seating area, parasol and sun loungers. BBQ is possible either with a elektorgrill or charcoal. A fire bowl is available for you to end the day at the campfire in a special atmosphere. Firewood available upon request.Our apartment is centrally located near the Eifel Maars, award-winning hiking trails and various cycling/ mountain bike trails. Ideal starting point for sport activities.
