Description

Amid forests, meadows, and the edges of trails

The Venwegen Family Trail is a short but varied hike for parents and children who love to explore the outdoors. Over the course of about four kilometers, the trail winds through wooded areas, past meadows, and repeatedly takes you to special spots where nature sends subtle signals—if you stop and look closely.

The stops along the way invite you to explore the forest edge, discover tracks on the ground, or go on the hunt for mushrooms. If you walk attentively, you’ll notice: Much happens in secret; some things almost sound like a mystery. And sometimes a stone sparkles, telling a story from the past when calamine—a special type of ore—was mined here.

The trail is child-friendly, can be walked at a leisurely pace, and is ideal for families who like to stop along the way, take a closer look, and learn new things about nature together.

The hike is marked with the number 17.
