The Meurin Roman mine is an original tuff quarry where Roman miners extracted the volcanic tuff underground almost 2,000 years ago. In the Ancient Technology World, you can marvel at stations and workshops relating to Roman and medieval construction.

Here, you’ll walk up narrow, winding alleys to particularly beautiful spots that offer a fascinating view over the rooftops of Monschau’s medieval town center. Here you’ll also learn how Monschau developed into a center of the cloth-making industry and how the people of Monschau still live in these ancient houses today.
