You can look forward to a well-equipped, cozy, non-smoking apartment measuring approximately 45 m², located in a quiet area on the outskirts of town near the forest.  The apartment is fully accessible, with a private parking space directly in front of the apartment and storage space for bicycles and motorcycles. A spacious kitchen-living room that offers plenty of room for 2 people (+sofa bed). The kitchen is equipped with: an oven with a ceramic cooktop, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a coffee maker, a kettle and an egg cooker, a microwave, a toaster, a waffle iron, cutlery, and china. Living area: TV (Netflix available), radio, comfortable couch. The bathroom is equipped with a rain shower, toilet, sink, and hair dryer. Use of the washing machine is available by arrangement. If needed, an interim cleaning of the vacation rental is available for 30.-€. Terrace with a quiet seating area, a sun shade, and lounge chairs. You can grill using either an electric grill or a charcoal grill. A fire pit is available for you to end the day by the campfire in a special atmosphere. Firewood is provided upon request. Our vacation rental is centrally located near the Maare, along award-winning hiking trails and various cycling and mountain biking routes—an ideal starting point for outdoor activities. Since we have our own pets, additional pets are not permitted.                                                                                                        In the neighboring village of Gillenfeld (approx. 2.3 km) is the nearest place to shop: bakery, butcher, supermarket, restaurants, liquor store, doctor, dentist, pharmacy, tourist office, bike shop, and a poultry and goat farm. Electric car charging station at Edeka (Strohner Str. 3). If you’re looking for peace, nature, and relaxation, our vacation rental is the perfect choice. However, if you’re looking for entertainment, shopping, music, and more, we recommend visiting the larger towns nearby.

Feel the Freedom!   The newly furnished holiday flat "L' Extravagante im Garten von Schloss Schmidtheim" offers wonderful peace and quiet in a special house: a historic villa from the 19th century. This lovely flat boasts plenty of space and light and natural materials such as wood and stone make the foundation for our guests' relaxation. The high ceilings offer room to breathe, and give this exceptional accommodation a castle flair. Huge windows provide wonderful brightness and the feeling of being part of the natural spectacle taking place outside. A small terrace with its own garden and a view of the large orchard invite you to observe, relax and enjoy. Active holiday guests will also get their money's worth: Just a step out the door and through the red garden gate - kilometres of hiking and cycling trails await to be discovered.   If desired, we are happy to extend an invitation to visit the castle courtyard and park opposite the holiday home. Please get in touch.   LOCATION:   The holiday flat "L' Extravagante im Garten von Schloss Schmidtheim" is located on the ground floor of the villa - in the middle of the Eifel and is surrounded by pure nature. It is only a stone’s throw away from Schmidtheim Castle and is found directly across from the Castle Gardens. Upon arriving, we recommend that our guests take a leisurely discovery walk. About 300 metres from the holiday home is a forest path that leads to a picturesque pond. You should plan about one hour for the way there and back.   For the following days of your stay, you can choose between a diverse range of excursions and hikes offered by Nord Eifel Tourismus. You will find a brochure in the holiday flat. You are also welcome to ask us for tips and excursion destinations at any time. Our family has lived at Schmidtheim Castle for more than 500 years.
