KOMM (derived from the word "communication") is a place for art, culture, music and encounters in Düren. The socio-cultural center is located in the old Pleußmühle, which can be recognized by its striking brick façade and the large water wheel at August-Klotzstr. 21 (just a 5-minute walk from the city center). Located directly on the mill stream, the water wheel produces green electricity for the Düren public utility company, while the KOMM "produces" culture.

The "Erft" rises in the small village of Holzmülheim, directly below the Himberg. It flows from here in the direction of Bad Münstereifel until it flows into the Rhine after about 100 km near Neuss. The 16 km final leg of the journey is another dream for nature-lovers as once again, the AhrSteig shows itself in its most beautiful light.

The Eifel-Blick "Heckenland" lies at a height of approx. 520 meters above sea level and provides an insight into the "Monschauer Heckenland", an old cultural landscape that has grown over centuries and is unique in Europe. It is integrated into the "Höfener Heckenweg" circular hiking trail.

For four centuries it shaped Monreal. Now you can immerse yourself in his story: the craft of cloth making comes to life again in the exhibition in the "Gallery in the Untertor".
