A special destination with a wide view awaits you on the hill "Dinert" above Waxweiler: The giant bench invites you to sit down, enjoy the view over the Eifel landscape, and leave everyday life behind for a moment.

The oversized bench offers a magnificent panoramic view over Waxweiler and the surrounding nature. Whether as a destination for a short hike, for a brief rest, or as an extraordinary memory photo – a visit is worthwhile in every season. The giant bench is located on the Nature Park Südeifel hiking trail No. 100. It can be reached from the hiking parking lot in about ten minutes on a well-maintained path (turning off from the L12 towards Lambertsberg).

    Museum Zemmer

    Aschestrom in Bad Tönisstein

    Almost 13,000 years ago, glowing clouds from the Laacher See volcano raced down the Brohltal and filled it with loose volcanic masses. This impressive spectacle can still be seen here today. Follow the road on the right behind the building complex and go uphill for a few meters. On the slope to the right, the layers of ash (trass) that have settled on the rocks of the older basement can be clearly seen. And where volcanoes were active, mineral springs are usually not far away.
