The Bördebahn is a single-track (formerly double-track), non-electrified branch line (formerly main line) in the Rhineland, which branches off westwards from the Eifelbahn in Euskirchen and runs via Zülpich to Düren. Today it is mainly important for freight traffic.
The hiking and cycling region Nordeifel offers many opportunities for vacation, which can also be reached directly from the numerous train stations. The visitor gets an overview of the cycling and hiking possibilities in the immediate vicinity and is led over a uniform marking to the existing cycling and hiking trails.
The train station is on the express line linking Cologne and Aachen, with further connections to Jülich, Heimbach and Euskirchen. In addition to the various regional (express) trains, the “S-Bahn” suburban train service heading towards Cologne also stops in Düren.
