The steam locomotive of the former Philippsheim-Binsfeld narrow-gauge railroad is still a reminder of the time of the historic narrow-gauge railroad in the Eifel. In front of the former engine shed in Bahnhofsstraße, the historic vehicle is well protected under roof and is freely accessible all year round.
The "Ehrenfriedhof" in Bitburg is a commemorative cemetery for soldiers who died in both World Wars. The cemetery attracted world-wide attention in 1985 causing a great deal of controversy from the Jewish communities as well as the Veterans of WWII. The President of United States, Ronald Reagan and West German chancellor Helmut Kohl were to visit Kolmeshoehe to lay a wreath on a tombstone.
From the "Heidetümpel" biotope on the Kindgen, located above the local community of Arft, there is a wonderful view over the pristine landscape of the Vordereifel and unique juniper heather areas. A rest area with benches invites you to rest and relax as well as to observe characteristic animal and plant species.
Outside the village of Dockweiler, to the south-east in the forest area, you will find the Dockweiler "Drees". The iron-rich mineral water bubbles out near the "Hasbach".
