The medieval moated castle of Satzvey provides the perfect backdrop for the Fall and Equestrian Market, which takes place on the expansive grounds, including the castle park. In an authentic historical atmosphere, everything on this day revolves around equestrian sports and horses. But families with children and “non-riders” will also find plenty to enjoy.

At numerous booths offering equestrian gear, clothing, high-quality leather goods, feed, and unique jewelry—such as pieces made from horseshoes or horsehair—you’ll find plenty of great deals and exclusive rarities.

The market stalls in the castle courtyards feature regional goods and handicrafts, as well as fall-themed offerings for all ages. Culinary delicacies such as ham, salami, and specialty cheeses are also popular as souvenirs. Beverages and freshly prepared treats round out the selection. Live music and a children’s program provide the perfect atmosphere for the whole family.
