Museum in der wArtehalle
Art exhibition by Jacqueline Beauducel in the wArtehalle Welchenhausen
Thread Art - Textile Art
Exhibition by Jacqueline Beauducel
The exhibition explores the “common thread” of life and the connection between language and textile art. In her textile works, the German-French artist explores how ancient textile-making techniques have found their way into our language—for example, in idioms such as “to lose one’s thread,” “to tie something together,” or “the common thread.” At the wArtehalle Welchenhausen, a meeting place in the Germany–Belgium–Luxembourg border region, the exhibition brings together art, language, and the idea of cross-border cooperation.
Opening reception: Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
The wArtehalle is open 24 hours a day.
About the artist:
Jacqueline Beauducel: Art Between Nature and Borders Jacqueline Beauducel, born in Berlin in 1963, is a German-French artist who has been working in the Eifel region for many years. After studying art history and Romance languages at the Free University of Berlin, she studied fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts. A DAAD-funded residency in Apt, in southern France, shaped her artistic path. Beauducel works with painting, printmaking, and collage. A recurring motif is nature, particularly the tree. She is interested not only in its external form but also in the network of roots, branches, and hidden connections. Since 2000, she has taught French and visual arts at St. Matthias High School in Gerolstein. At the same time, she is active in the region and beyond through exhibitions and art projects.
