In retrospect, the Roman Canal was a gigantic structure that supplied the city of Cologne with fresh water from the Eifel. Today, you can follow the former Roman Eifel over 120 kilometers in seven stages. Various relics such as outcrops and aqueduct bridges as well as the Roman Canal Information Center in Rheinbach make an encounter with this period an authentic experience.
