The former Premonstratensian monastery from the 12th century is located in the austere Eifel landscape, in the middle of the "High Fens" nature park, right on the German-Belgian border. The complex, which includes over 32 hectares of forest and a fish pond, is located on a rock plateau at the mouth of the Rur, which meanders in the valley between Kalterherberg and Eschweide, and the Ermesbach. It is 7 km to the picturesque town of Monschau.

The unique calamine violet in and around Stolberg shows itself especially in the months of May to August. Calamine flora or calamine vegetation is the botanical name of two plant communities of metallophytes on soil containing heavy metals.

The Thielen guesthouse and holiday home is situated with a wonderful view of the idyllic Our valley in the German-Luxembourg Nature Park right on the Luxembourg border. The holiday home can accommodate up to 13 people and is divided into 5 double rooms and 1 triple room (minimum occupancy: 6 people). It is located 300 metres from the guesthouse in the idyllic village centre of Dasburg.

Riding stables in the beautiful SÜDEIFEL for therapeutic riding Comfortable non-smoking vacation apartment in a sunny, quiet location on the edge of the village. Right on the edge of the forest. Wood-burning stove in the living room. Our 6 horses/ponies are used for therapeutic riding, with a focus on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais. With their relaxed presence, they take away even anxious people's fear of horses.

The nice flat with a terrace and a big lawn is situated in a quiet area close to a forest. It is a very good place to start nice hikingtours in the closer area. About 3 km you find the bicycleroute "Eifel-ardennen-Radweg" which is build on an old railway in different directions: to Prüm, Waxweiler, Arzfeld, Neuerburg or St.Vith / Belgien.

The Neo-Gothic cross chapel in the district of Schleidweiler was built in 1894. A crossroads with 14 stations of individually designed sandstone arrows leads to the Kreuzkapelle, which is perched above Schleidweiler. Starting in the core area Schleidweiler accompanies the visitor 14 Kreuzwegstationen to the Kreuzkapelle. At the crossroads on the Bergrücken, the visitor is rewarded with a wonderful view over the "Fidei" - from the Meulenwald to the Bitburgerland.
