HOSPITAL EIFEL National Park Our house is a former farmhouse with currently 2 apartments, one of which we have converted into a vacation apartment with a total of 5 rooms. Especially the first floor with ground level entrance, double bedroom (bed with raised frame), separate toilet, modern bathroom with tub and shower, cozy kitchen with corner bench, living and reading room with great views are suitable for people with walking disabilities, seniors and families with children. On the 1st floor we have a children's room with a crib and another double bedroom. The spacious outdoor area offers plenty of seating for both sun worshippers and those seeking shade. The sun loungers in the garden invite you to relax and the barbecue house with panoramic views is not just for barbecues - it is also ideal for being outside in less than ideal weather or simply for sitting, looking into the distance, reading, drinking coffee..... Overlooked by the medieval Hengebach Castle, home to the International Academy of Art, lies the historic pilgrimage town in the Rur Valley. With its half-timbered houses, galleries, cozy inns and street cafés, the small town invites you to take a stroll in a picturesque atmosphere.

The Obermaubach reservoir in the municipality of Kreuzau is a paradise for all kinds of water sports enthusiasts; you can go rowing, pedal boating or canoeing.

The trail starts at the church of Schleidweiler. The route leads along typical Eifel Houses. The path runs along the open terrain before it enters the forest. Past the old sandstone pits, the natural trail leads through an untouched part of the forest down to Daufenbach. The small town even has its own train station. Parallel to the Kyll the path leads over the cycle path to the district Mühlenflürchen. Take a deep breath before climbing the ascend. You will get rewarded with untouched nature with former quarries. The hidden waterfall at the end of this quiet woodland invites you to linger. The last stage will take you across the Eifelsteig, back to Schleidweiler.

Between the three Eifel towns of Müllenbach, Laubach and Leienkaul lies the spectacular Kaulenbach Valley, where quality roofing slate was once mined.
