Wanderwoche Südeifel - Wasser, Wald & Wein

Shady forest paths, narrow walkways over the Steinbach ditch in the Plattener Switzerland, and the story of the Plattener Däwel are just a few of the spectacular ingredients for hiking enjoyment during the Hiking Week Südeifel 2026.

The guided hike along the Plattener P3 Loop Trail, which is about 7.5 km long, successfully combines culture and hiking. It reveals interesting facts about winegrowing in the Liesertal Valley, and knowledgeable guides entertain participants with traditional tales about the Plattener Däwel. The hike begins on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Görgen Winery in Platten. The route winds through the impressive “Plattener Schweiz” landscape, following unspoiled forest trails and narrow footbridges across and along the Steinbachgraben, then along a section of the Lieserpfad trail, and finally back to the village alongside the famous Moselle tributary. The wine shop and the Winzerhof Café at the Görgen Winery are the destinations for a group stop to enjoy a hearty Plattener Teufelsbraten.
