Wanderung an der Ahr bei Mayschoß

The Eifel Association OG Arzfeld is organizing a full-day trip to the Ahr on Saturday, 24.10. Hike in Mayschoß.  

The Eifelverein Arzfeld is organizing a full-day trip to the Ahr on Saturday, October 24.
Departure is at 8.00 a.m. from the village square in Arzfeld by minibus, and around 9.00 a.m. there will be a breakfast break with coffee, rolls, and sparkling wine near Rech. Following that, we will continue to Mayschoß for the starting point of the hike "View of Saffenburg. View from Schrock". The Saffenburg is the oldest castle ruin on the Ahr. The hiking route is 9.2 km and is described as difficult. A good basic fitness level, surefootedness, sturdy footwear, and some alpine experience are required.
Tables for lunch at the Weinhaus Michaelishof are reserved for 2.00 p.m. After the lunch break, the area can still be explored before the return journey starts in the late afternoon.
